Prakash Raj: We have no plan to split MAA

On Monday, Prakash Raj announced his resignation from Movie Artists Association- MAA after experiencing a defeat in the elections that were held on 10th October for 2021-23, saying that he would continue to do films.  On Monday in a press meet,  Prakash Raj said, “Movie Artists Association – MAA elections were completed on a good note. Nearly  650 members of MAA have participated in the  elections  with wisdom. I congratulate Manchu Vishnu, Siva Balaji, Raghu Babu, and to all who have won in the MAA elections.” Srikanth has  also resigned from the post of Vice-president. Other members who won from Prakash Raj’ panel also did the same. Prakash Raj’s panel won 11 positions.  All the 11 members have decided not to take up their elected positions.

On the otherside, Prakash Raj has denied the media reports of spilt in MAA  and clarified that they have no such plans to split MAA.

Prakash Raj’ panel alleged that  Malpractice of votes took place in MAA election and cited  Anasuya Bharadwaj as an example. Anasuya was in the lead when the vote counting started. However, things went upside down her and she lost the elections in the end.

On the other hand,  the reports are coming Prakash Raj and Naga Babu who  announced their resignation, are planning to announce a new association.
