The trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Shaakuntalam was released by the makers on January 9, Monday. And, Allu Arha, daughter of Pushpa: The Rise actor Allu Arjun made a cameo appearance as she is all set to make her acting debut. The trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Shaakuntalam features Allu Arha, daughter of Allu Arjun in a never-seen-before avatar.
The trailer video opens with Sachin Khedekar narrating a mystical tale of the first orphaned Baby, the daughter of an ‘apsara’ as cranes carry and fly with the little one. Sachin Khedekar continues to share the story of Shakuntala, a girl born for a reason, to start a new historic tale. The trailer of Shaakuntalam gives a glimpse into the world of Shakuntala aka Samantha, falling in love and then betrayed by her lover.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu looks beyond beautiful as the ethereal and demure Shakuntala. The actress looks enchanting. Dev Mohan, who plays King Dushyanta makes a charming appearance. Allu Arha, all set to make her acting debut with the movie plays Prince Bharata in the movie. And, Arha looks fierce and brave as she features seated on a lion back.

In the comments section of the trailer video on YouTube, the audience expressed their thoughts on the first glimpse of the upcoming movie. Ahead of the Shaakuntalam trailer release, Samantha had shared a romantic poster from the movie. The poster featured Prabhu with Dev Mohan.

Shaakuntalam is written and directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna under the banner, Gunaa Teamworks. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on February 17, worldwide, in the languages- Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
