Tina Datta is one of the most talked-about contestants of Salman Khan-hosted show, Bigg Boss 16. Recently, Tina’s mother Madhumita Datta sat down with Bollywood Bubble to talk about her daughter. Tina Datta’s mother was asked about Bigg Boss 16 contestant Sumbul Touqeer’s father’s nasty comments about her daughter.
For the uninitiated, in one of the episodes, Bigg Boss had Sumbul Touqeer get a call from her father where he called Tina and Shalin Bhanot ‘kaminey log’. He had also accused Tina of damaging the reputation of his daughter on national TV. Sumbul’s father later apologised for his choice of words.
Tina’s mother breaks silence on Sumbul’s dad’s comments about her daughter
Tina’s mother told us, “Woh toh bohot bura laga kyunki ek baap… chahe mein hu mein bhi agar kisi ke bacche ko aise shabd boldu toh bohot galat toh… Sumbul ka koi galti nahin hai isme uske papa ne bola. Unhone shayad realize kia sorry bhi bola. Abhi joh shabd muh se abhi nikal gaya usko toh wapas nahi laa sakte. Aaj woh digital media har jagah chah gaye. Toh bura toh lagna hai toh unko lagna hai mujhe kyu lagna? (I was badly hurt because even if I say such meanful things to someone’s child it’s wrong. It’s not Sumbul’s fault as it’s her father who said it. He later realized it and apologised too. The words that you said cannot be taken aback. Now it’s everywhere. So he should be the one who should bad and not me)
She went on to add, “Mujhe jaroor laga ki meri beti ko aise shabh kyu bola gaya. Humlog agar Bigg Boss mein bheje hai toh chhoti bacchi nahi hai. Sabko pata hai Bigg Boss kaisa show hai? Toh uss hisab se mentally prepared bhi rehna chahiye. Bolne ke liye toh time bohot hai. Bahar bhi bol sakte hai na. Jaroori nahi hai ki udhar hi gandagi karna hai (I absolutely felt why my daughter was called such things. If you have sent her in Bigg Boss, then she is not a small girl. Everyone knows what kind of a show Bigg Boss is. So one should be mentally prepared for that. There’s a lot of time to say such things. One can speak even outside. It’s not necessary to say all these things inside the house)”
During the conversation, Tina’s mother also reacted to her daughter’s relationship with Shalin Bhanot.
