Actor Shamita Shetty was recently spotted in the city where she was captured with Aamir Ali. A video surfaced on social media where Shamita was seen posing for the paps and suddenly Aamir came into the frame and playfully took her away from the photo session. He then escorted her to her car and gave a small goodbye kiss on her cheeks. Fans quickly started speculating if Shamita and Aamir are dating for real. Well, rubbing all the dating rumours, Shamita Shetty took to her Instagram stories and dropped a statement.
In the statement, Shamita expressed her disappointment with people who have ‘prudish mindset’. She even asked the netizens why snap judgements before checking the facts. The Bigg Boss 15 contestant said, “I’m baffled by society and its convenient prudish mindset all across. Why is every action and every person subjected to scrutiny or snap judgement with no reality check? There are possibilities beyond the narrow-minded assumptions of the NETIZENS.”
Moreover, Shamita also stated that she is single and happy while the people need to focus on other important issues. “It’s high time we open our minds to it! Single n happy .. let’s focus on more important issues in this country!” the Mohabbatein actor added.

Meanwhile, Shamita earlier made headlines for her relationship with Raqesh Bapat. She met him on Bigg Boss OTT and love started brewing between them in the house. The two called it quits last year in July. Raqesh Bapat announced his break up with Shamita as he wrote, “I would like to share with you all that Shamita and I are no longer together. Destiny made our paths meet in the most unusual circumstances. Thank You so much to the Shara family for all the love and support. Being a private person, I did not want to publicly announce parting ways. However, I feel we owe it to our fans to put this out. I am mindful that this will break your hearts but you can continue to shower your love on us as individuals too. Looking forward to all your support. This music video is dedicated to all of you.”
On the professional front, Shamita Shetty will make her comeback to Bollywood by starring in The Tenant. The movie is scheduled to release on February 10.
