Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey has scored by bringing to the small screen, relatable stories and challenges of Indian families in a light-hearted manner that has amassed a lot of appreciation from audiences. The latest episodes have put the Wagle family under stress and emotional turmoil as goons have kidnapped Atharva (Sheehan Kapahi).
Following Atharva’s kidnapping, the viewers have witnessed the Wagle family in a vulnerable state like never before as they are going through this challenging situation together. Vandana (Pariva Pranati) is constantly praying to God for Atharva’s safety and requests Harshad (Amit Soni) to help them with the ransom money. Interestingly, a CID inspector reaches the Sai Darshan Society in normal attire and informs Rajesh (Sumeet Raghavan) that he is aware of the entire kidnapping incident and is here to help. Now, Rajesh is faced with the biggest dilemma, between seeking help from police to find Atharva while also worrying about what they might do to his son if they find out.
Will Rajesh take the inspector’s help? Will Atharva get back to his family?
Sumeet Raghavan, essaying the role of Rajesh Wagle, said, “Atharva’s kidnapping in the show has unraveled different facets of my character, showcasing the diverse emotions a father goes through during such a critical and challenging situation. It is very daunting to have your child go missing and later learn that they have been kidnapped by the goons. Unaware of your child’s whereabouts, a feeling of helplessness and numbness begins to sink in which is the worst for any parent. Rajesh has to stay strong for his family’s sake and is in a dilemma because on one side he wants to go to the police to find Atharva, while at the same time he is hesitant because he is afraid of what the kidnappers might do. It will be interesting to witness him come out of this internal conflict and deal with this gruesome situation.”
