We have previously discussed the top romantic series on the streaming service. Netflix offers so many romantic dramas that it is difficult to make just one list. Here’s another list of the top Rom-Com series that you can stream on Netflix.
1. Dash & Lily-
Joe Tracz created this American romantic comedy based on the book ‘Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares’ for young adults by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. The first time it aired on Netflix was on November 10, 2020. We see Austin Abrams as Dash, and Midori Francis as Lily.
2. Jane the Virgin
It is funny enough that the driving incident of this plot is funny. Jane Villanueva’s life is thrown into a complete turn when she is accidentally inseminated. The comedy and romance intensify when she learns that the donor is her ex-girlfriend and boss.
This series explores the romance between Jane and her boyfriend, Jane and the father of the accidental child. This rom-com originally aired on The CW. However, it is also available to stream on Netflix. Gina Rodriguez plays the title role.
3. Sex Education
With Otis Milburn and Maeve Wiley’s “will-they-won’t-they” drama at the center of this high school rom-com, this series has become a global hit. The show is not only about romance but also covers psychological complexities and social issues such as the struggle of LGBTQ persons. It also features some mature characters and storylines.
Although Maeve is a favorite character of almost everyone, the third season released in 2021 gave more depth to each main character. The Netflix original premiered January 11, 2019. The fourth season of this Netflix original premiered on January 11, 2019. Emma Mackey (Maeve), Asa butterfield (Otis), Aimee lou Wood, Mimi Keene and Gillian Anderson are the cast of “Sex Education”. Conor Swindells is also included.
4. Never Have I Ever-
Another high school romance! Devi Vishwakumar, an American-Indian woman who has lost her father and is now struggling to find a man. What happens when Devi is suddenly drawn into a triangle of love between Ben, the smart Paxton and Devi?
Maitreyi Rajakrishnan stars as Devi, while Jaren Lewison (Ben) and Darren Barnet (Paxton) play the roles of Paxton and Ben. “Never Have I Ever” is a Netflix original, which premiered April 27, 2020.
5. Emily in Paris
This rom-com takes place in Paris, the heartland for love and beauty. It is filled with romance and French vibes. Emily Cooper, Chicago’s marketing executive, must travel to Paris to meet beautiful men, love, lust and fashion. Gabriel is also her friend.
Lily Collins plays the role of Emily, the titular character. The show debuted on Netflix on October 2, 2020.
This drama series focuses on Dylan, a 20-year-old man who contracted sex at age 20. He discovers this and contacts all the women he has dated. The viewers can see flashbacks of Dylan’s relationships with each of them.
The first season premiered on Channel 4 but the second and third seasons were available on Netflix. Johnny Flynn plays Dylan.
7. New Girl
Jess discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her and breaks up with him. She moves in with three other men. “New Girl” is essentially a sitcom with romance at its core.Zooey deschanel portrays Jess, an idiosyncratic teacher. Although the original network for this drama series was Fox, it can be streamed on Netflix.
8. Love is blind
This reality TV show wants to challenge the saying, “Love is Blind.” Is love blind? They are asking if love can happen with a blindfold. As many singles as possible are placed in a room and allowed to mingle with potential lovers, but only one is permitted. They can’t see each other.
This Netflix original was hosted by Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo and premiered February 13, 2020.
9. Ginny & Georgia
This mother-daughter pair is very different from other mothers and daughters. Ginny’s mom Georgia is cool and basically her friend. Both of their lives are difficult, but they support each other and Jinny helps with her new love life.
Antonia Gentry played the role Ginny, while Brianne Howey played the role Georgia. Both did a fantastic job. This Netflix original was released on February 24, 2021.
10. Too Hot to Handle
Another reality show that focuses on romance and passion. But no sex. Singles can meet in paradise but they cannot have sex to win 100,000 dollars in prize money.
The show’s host is “Lana”, who acts as a virtual assistant. Ten performers also participate. It debuted on Netflix on April 17, 2020.
